Visita Iglesia 2016

Ilocos Vacation

Coming from the Parish of the Holy Sacrifice in UP Diliman, we were en route to the Church of St. Joseph.   But as we traveled to Katipunan, there were other churches within proximity.

The Church of the Pentecost was a relatively new church, and it was located within a village in Katipunan,   We parked nearby and proceeded to walk to the church.

The large cross on the altar

Across the pews there is a large mural of the Pentecost

They also have a place where people spend a vigil

It was a brief visit to the Pentecost Church, and then we proceeded to Cubao, where we parked near a square allocated by the MMDA, and walked to our next church, the Monasterio de Sta. Clara (Monastery of St. Clare)

I had a lot of pictures of the church of St. Clare; it was beautiful and peaceful.

We finally made it to the Church of St. Joseph; unfortunately it was closed off to visitors and we were instead lay to a plaza where they had placed the different stations of the Way of the Cross.  That were the only pictures I had there.

I stumbled on a chapel, though not the main altar of the church

The Church of St. Joseph was our 7th visited church, reaching the traditional required number.   But we were only halfway through our journey.   There was still one more church within the area, then on to the long voyage to Guadalupe, then the vicinity of MOA.  We aimed for Baclaran.
